Defining our services should've been easy. We could just say "we do web design and we charge this price per hour", like most of our competition. In our opinion this is a very poor method of providing service, and is one where more often than not the client pays dearly for poor value. Charging by the hour sets the stage for price gouging and abuse, with the clients being the victims. To us this was unacceptable.

In the real world, if you're paying a designer for eight hours of work, more than likely you're getting five to six hours of actual design time. What about the other two or three hours? That is the time spent doing the eclectic “design” process, when designers are working the concept around inside their heads. Most designers do a form of concept work in their heads, before the actual design process begins. Most charge for this “think” time. At Landsgate we do not.

Instead, we package our services and provide flat rate charges. Our clients know what they are being charged for ahead of time. In providing this level of predictability we eliminate many of the variables that are the bane of quality web design. Our clients know they are getting a higher quality service at affordable rates. Each service and charge we list is based upon real-time production averages that are fair to us and to you.
